Community
One of LACH’s main missions is to build healthy and connected communities. While there is no one roadmap to building a collaborative and unified collective, we have the benefit of learning from those that came before us and we hope we can lead others as we create our own path forward.
By sharing in the ownership of this project with those around us, we all get the chance to celebrate the richness and wisdom in community. It takes all of us.
These are some of our partners:
To learn more about the community of local organizations we exist in, read the 2024 Seeding the Dream Community Resource Directory.
This Community Social Justice Resource Directory was inspired by the grassroots group Race Equity Network REN of Bainbridge Island, WA whose community members collectively came together to address racial disparities that were being experienced on the Island and across Kitsap County.
They brought together the many organizations that are committed to doing the work of undoing racism and building community.
This booklet celebrates the breadth of local collective unity and highlights the resource offerings of each organization along with inspiring quotes, art, and poetry.
