Living Arts Cultural Heritage is a transformative gathering place fostering connections, enriching understanding, illuminating lives and inspiring reconciliation among diverse communities in Kitsap County and the Pacific Northwest.

Our focus on reconciliation amplifies the voices of African Americans, revealing their vital role in American history alongside Indigenous peoples to the present day. We do this work by fostering a multicultural and inclusive learning environment in spaces within Kitsap County, including the Bainbridge Island Art Museum and Evergreen Community College in Tacoma.

Understanding and embracing cultural heritage is essential for building empathy, and promoting unity within a community. The focus on preserving and sharing the stories of local civil rights pioneers, artists, educators and community leaders celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and empowers the audience with inspiring narratives.
